Ghent: Imschoot. 1992
21 x 15cm, 176pp plus card covers and dj with tipped on b/w photograph. This facsimile of original translation of Paul Engelmann’s letters to Ludwig Wittgenstein has had various original b/w photographs of the city of Ghent tipped in and placed over the text. Kosuth felt the city was being destroyed by developers and created this artist’s book which hints at cultural values (as outlined in the epistolic text relating to aesthetics) being undermined without due care to how the past is displayed. One of 1,000 copies – this is now a scarce publication. In VG condition.
