22 x 14cm – paper collage. The image here, created by the surrealist Marien in this late work, is of a small monkey with an erection ‘created’ by the addition of a cut out lipstick image from an advert. The work is signed and titled and dated “X – 84” in black ink. A sexualised view of life and commodification. Condition is fine – with some marks which were almost certainly originally found on the original appropriated “monkey” image.
