19.5 x 13.5. 184pp plus original wrappers, original dust jacket illustrated by Toyen. First Czech language edition of Breton’s imperative Surrealist text (‘Les Vases Communicants’, 1932), as translated by Honzl and Nezval, two of the most prominent members of the Czech Surrealist group.

A very good example with the rare dustwrapper which has Toyen’s striking collage design although the dj has some damage down the edges of the spine which have been neatly reinforced verso with tape and has some minor stains.

This copy is unusually signed and dated by Breton (Prague 1st April 1935).
