24 x 24cm, 1pp black and yellow offset lithographic print. The image is reproduced photograph of a pressed black ink from rumpled paper with the artist’s hands applying Naples Yellow to the image. Gettte was fascinated with rocks and lava and created a series of works over the decades of burnt paper to represent stones and lava (Calcinations) to which he would add the colour yellow usually by smearing. This is one of 75 signed and numbered prints. VG+.
