Exhibition catalogue for the French surrealist and expressionist painter which is also notable for the photograph on the wrap around cover which is credited in print to Broodthaers and a short text-poem for Raine reprinted on the 6th page “L’oiseau de feu A Jean Raine”. This publication proceeds Broodthaer’s famous decision to become an artist-poet and is a rare example of his activities as critic, writer and formal poet. Fortyb works by Raine noted alongside three lithographs by the painter. Fine.
