WIR BRINGEN DIE POLE ZUM SCHMELZEN. 1988.

Heidelberg: Edition Staeck, n.d. (1987) 84 x 59.5cm, full colour offset with an image of the world in a heating cooking pan and a text " WIR BRINGEN DIE POLE ZUM SCHMELZEN" that translates to "WE ARE MELTING THE POLES". The print was the the second poster directed against CFC production by Hoechst and Kali-Chemie, and the first to be created in coordination with Greenpeace. On the occasion of the World Climate Congress "Climate and Development" that started in Hamburg on November 7, 1988, the motif was put up on all advertising columns in the Hanseatic city and in Frankfurt to once again draw attention to the impending climate catastrophe, in which the manufacturers of CFCs are significantly involved.
