Finlay notes that Walston is a landlocked village on the hillside opposite the author's home.

All the other place names are French coastal communes where the nighttime lights would act as a welcome (and warming) beacon for returning boats. Finlay is suggesting his view of Walston is as welcoming. He dedicates the books to "Ailie". VG+.

30 x 21cm, 4pp (single folded sheet of card) printed in green, purple and black with the outside of the card being a single illustration of the Witkar proposal. Internally texts in DUtch explaining the title concept that "WITKAR GIVES PEDESTRIAN WHEELS". The Witkar (white car) project was one of the first technology-based car-sharing projects in the world after Dutch social inventor and politician luud schimmelpennink, an industrial designer and at the time Amsterdam city councillor proposed it as a means of helping solve the city's growning car problem. The project was opened on 21 march 1974 and while having some limited success was never expanded beyond the original experimental reach.

While never an official Provo project, the experiment was supported by them and it is interesting that this brochure has three Provo "apple" symbols incorporated into the design. Very scarce. VG+.

28 x 21.5cm, 14pp mimeograph sheets stapled twice on left. Theoretical tract with two long text in Dutch and contact lists for activists throughout Holland. Some staining down left and right of cover sheet and minor handling wear and tear. Like all Dolle Mina material this is somewhat scarce.

30 x22cm, outer printed wrap around folder content of 15 differnet documents assembled from organisations and individuals taking part in the major two-day "anti-authoritarian" Kaboutier conference in Appelscha.

JOINT: A newspaper clipping from Vrij Nederland from 23 Mei 1970 with a report about the congress. Brouwned but else VG.

Together a very scarce Kabouter document about a lesser reported event with contributions from many of the best known left organisations and personalities.

40 x 15cm, 6pp. Single number of the journal but here published in the city of Bergeijk (in the south of the country). Articles on the intrusion of computers into personal rights, the Oude Kerk, and names of candidates to support in local elections. Folded for storage else VG+. Scarce.

30 x 21cm, 56pp plus card covers. The programme for a film festival of political films in the popular and influential Cineclub that created a model of politically committed film theatres in Holland and which won a regular audience for non-mainstream protest films.

The listings here include many of the important films of the early 70s including the Winter Soldier (a 1972 US documentary about a media event sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War which publicised war crimes and atrocities by the United States Armed Forces in Vietnam). Other sections (apart from the extensive Vietnam  programme of nearly 20 films) including women's liberation, China and Mao, Cuba, "Amerikkka" and student revolt. Illustrated by cartoons throughout by Willem the Provo associated cartoonist. VG+.

A promotional item for the launch of a proposed Witkar (white car) project for Amsterdam based on the original White plans by Luud Schimmelpennink of the Dutch Provo movement in 1968. Under the modernised plans the cars would be available throughout the city for a small charge and would be controlled centrally (to plan parking in advance for instance) and through their use reduce pollution and traffic problems in the city. The various sheets show the cars, photomontages and drawings for the various sites. Texts are in Dutch.  All VG+ condition.

34 x 21.4cm, 1pp mimeographed leaflet handed out to call for a demonstration in the form of a a silent procession around the Lieverdje statue. Designed by C. Nuit for Provo this was the 6th Provokatie leaflet (which was often placed in copies of Provo). Previously folded twice for stroage this is otherwise VG+.

43 x 31cm, 4pp. A single number of this revolutionary student newspaper with higher than usual (for the time) production values - two colour offset lithography with photographs throughout). Articles on social justice and the occupation of the Maagdenhuis where nearly 700 students took over the building to demand greater say in their education - a protest that lasted for five days (when the police cut off heating and water to the building but later attacked the students to force them out. Fold for storage else VG+.
