All = 85. A continuous early run of this important art journal that was initiated from Stephane Elizabeth from her Galerie les Contemporains, along with her son Stepháne and daughter Anne-Marie. The first issue (included here) was published on the occasion of the Düsseldorf Art Fair in October 1973. Contributions are from by Jospeh Beuys (2 covers), Marcel Broodthaers (3 covers), André Cadere, Charlier, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Anne and Patrick Poirier, Ulay & Marina Abramovic, Ian Hamilton Finlay and others. NYC: Socialist States of Belgium in exile, n.d. 28 x 21cm, 1pp. Offset leaflet which was published by the so called "Socialist States of Belgium in exile" and promoting an evening of films by Louis Lacille Lenglet who is noted here as a "Belgium Provo, moviemaker and U editor" "with the co-operation of Aggression Art Inc./Third Rail Gallery" alongside films by Jon Hendricks and Fluxus works by Poppy Johnson, Al Hansen, Darlene Butlich, Anya Robbins, Maryann Zaccone and Jean Toche. An unusual event where the political European tradition coming out of the events taking place in the Netherlands and Belgium met the new radical arts found in the Fluxus movement. A rare document indeed. Formerly folded but else VG.

NYC: New York Avant Garde Festival, 1971

73 x 37cm, full colour publicity poster for Moorman's annual festival featuring over 200 artists (all named on the poster) and offering performances and shows in all the artistic disciplines. The festival was based in the 69th Regiment Infantry Armory in Manhattan. The poster has various red hand applied rubber stamp impressions.

This is a mailed and folded copy of the poster. Very good condition although folded for mailing. This is one of the more difficult posters to find.

Most famous for his one year actions where he lived outside any building for an entire 365 days, or clocked in every hour on a machine in his house or tied by a rope to Linda Montano for a year. Illustrated in b/w and colour throughout and texts in English, Chinese and Italian. Fine.

21 x 30cm, 16pp stapled offset b/w programme for the 1980 show. The programme notes a huge number of participants exhibiting art at the New York's Passenger Ship Terminal including Eric Andersen, Ay-o, John Cage, Christo, Philip Corner, Yoko Ono, Ben Patterson, Knud Petersen, Otto Piene, Klaus Groh, Geoffrey Hendricks, Ray Johnson, Milan Knizak, Alison Knowles, Richard Kostelanetz, Takehisa Kosugi, Carolee Schneemann, Mieko Shiomi, Ben Vautier and details of a "Group Hologram Show" and a "Group Audio Show" which included David Tudor, John Giorno, Takehisa Kosugi, Yoshi Wada and others.

Also there was "Six Sure Cycles of Poetry Performances" which included Jackson Mac Low and Opal L. Nations, and "Two Continuous 12 =-Hour Video Tape Shows" which included works by Jeff Byrd, Nancy Holt, Nam June Paik with Charlotte Moorman (Guadalcanal Requiem), Shigeko Kubota, and Les Levine. These are just a percentage of the huge number of artists who were involved in the Festival and one has to be impressed by Moorman's organisation of such an event. VG+.

Very good+. One of the scarcer posters from the event to find for some unknown reason.
