21  x 10cm, 2pp invitation card for the opening of Magdanz's photographic documentation of the famous (notorious?) prison that was in part built to hold the various members of the Red Army Faction (aka Baader Meinhof gang) and where they are claimed to have committed suicide in hard to believe circumstances in October 17 1977 (Meinhof having hung herself from the cell windows a year earlier. The facility was planned to be demolished soon after this exhibition but that appears not to have fully happened.

Three separate numbers. Uniformly 49 x 32cm, 8pp. Full colour throughout. While strictly a post-surrealist publication, could easily be considered in the same stream of history and certainly quotes surrealist texts (eg ELT Mesens) and reproduces works such as those by Magritte.

The title "Coupures" which translates as "cuts" explains the format: with many short, précis and selections. The design is modern and uses all the benefits of 70s typography and technology: something clearly disallowed their predecessors.

Nr 1 has texts on Bernadette Devlin (of the terrorist official IRA), Sharon Tate, a poem by Legrand, and a Man Ray work alongside one of the first reproduced images of a group of the Becher's "Sculptures anonymes" as well as anti-Gaulleist diatribes.

Nr 3 a poem by Mesens and 7: Bory, Breton and Heartfield. All folded but otherwise very good.

42 x 30cm, 8pp. A single (and early) number of this long running artist broadside issued for free in large numbers by the fashion house. An image of a khaki blanket given to the Armenian artist Antoinette Ohannessian found in the siege of Sarajevo was passed on by her to Toni Negri - a political activist who was accused of being an active terrorist in Italy (Red Brigades) and when voluntarily returned to his homeland after years of living in France was immediately jailed This number of the serial was given out during the 1999 Venice biennale and has texts by Negri. VG+.

47 x 33.5cm, blue and red offset lithographic poster supporting the hunger strike by jailed members of the Grupos de Resistencia Antifascista Primero de Octubre (GRAPO) which come out of the Communist Party of Spain (Reconstituted) (PCE-r) in the late 70s. GRAPO was a terrorist organisation and saw itself as part of an international movement of "Red Armies". The hunger strike began in November 1989 and after 177 days Jose Manuel Sevillano died despite the state force feeding many of the prisoners. Some wear and tear along the edges of the poster and some marks to the front of the poster and on the unprinted back there are long tape remnants used in the past for wall mountings.

60 x 41.5cm, red and black offset lithographic poster calling for two public demonstrations in Dusseldorf and Stuttgart against right wing politicians Thomas and Luiti. Formerly folded and very minor corner wear else VG.

42 x 30cm, black on white offset lithographic poster claiming that Ulrike Meinhol of the Rote Armee Faktion was assassinated by the state in Stanheimm prison. A second generation of the RAF poster. VG.

42 x 30cm, red and black offset lithographic poster designed claiming that the three members of the Rote Armee Faktion were murdered in Stanheimm prison. VG.

59.5 x 42cm, green, red and black offset lithographic poster protesting the death of Wolfgang Grams during a shoot out with German police. Grams was a second generation Rote Armee Faktion sympathiser and perhaps activist who was stopped at the Bad Kleinen train station by the GSG 9 (a police tactical unit) and after pulling a gun shot two of the police, killing one. He himself died supposedly by falling backwards onto the track and committing suicide but many believe he was shot in the hear by one of the GSG 9. This poster protests the killing which they claim to be murder. Three b/w photographs - one of Grams.

This is in poor condition with lots of surface scuffs on the left of the poster and small closed tears. Priced to account for this condition.

Officers were quoted as saying they saw Grams "suddenly fall backward" off the station platform and onto the track. Either before or after he fell, he allegedly shot himself in the head. He was taken to the Medizinische Universität zu Lübeck by helicopter where he died from his wounds a few hours later.

20 x 13cm, 66pp plus wrappers and dj. Artist's book. Content of actual size reproductions of Richter's cycle of 23 paintings where he overpainted on pages from Stammheim: der Prozess gegen die Rote Armee Fraktion by Pieter H. Bakker Schut, Neuer Malik Verlag, Kiel, 1986. The point being to emphasis the German state's secret role in murdering the jailed RAF leaders awaiting trial and thus acting as callously as the terrorists did during their murderous actions. Published in a limited edition (1,000) signed by Richter in pencil on the last page. Fine condition.

29.5 x 23cm, 152pp plus boards (with tipped on b/w illustration). First English edition of this artist's book displaying Richter's 1988 cycle of paintings of the dead RAF (Barder Meinhoff Gang) who while being murderers themselves had, in turn, probably murdered by the German state while in prison. The second half of the book is an extensive monograph on Richter illustrated throughout. Fine.
