From the artist : The phrase “a thousand needles” is often used metaphorically, to describe a sensation or experience that involves a multitude of sharp or piercing elements .. to convey the intensity of a situation or the overwhelming nature of a particular feeling.

This is one of only 10 such objects constructed by the artist and numbered on the label on the top of the box. VG+.

Artist's book printed black on yellow consisting of 19 portraits of celebrities (and the artist) who are known by a triplicate of initials eg JFK, AOC, MIA, J-Lo, LBJ and others. In original grey envelope with a title label that includes the number from the edition of 200 published. VG+ in like envelope.

"Första Januari is a book about anticipation. It is based on the rhythmic countdown to Christmas Eve, which has been in practice in Sweden for centuries and is believed to have its origin in old hedonistic traditions. The book contains 378 pages of which 352 are identical.

The book was was proofread by legendary Swedish folklorist, ethnologist and artist Bengt af Klintberg, who was a member of the Fluxus movement in the early 1960s."
