Venice: s.p. (the artists), 1962 26.5 x 21cm, 1pp mimeograph leaflet protesting the forced closure by the Venice mayoralty of Bertini's exhibition Le Pays Reel at Galerie Gritti after a single day of opening. The leaflet was published on the eve of the opening of 31st Venice Biennale and was signed by a large number of artist including Alain Jouffroy, Pierre Restany, Karel Appel, Enrico Baj, Arturo Schwarz, Ferro, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Paul Jenkins, Corneille and others. This has had two ring binder holes punched on the left where there is no text to allow storage else is VG+.

Twenty-two works listed and ten works (mostly table pieges) reproduced in b/w and one portrait of the younger Spoerri. The essay is by Alain Jouffroy. Staples are rusted else VG example of an important catalogue.

Texts in French by Alain Jouffroy, Ellen Johnson and Robert Rosenblum (the latter two both translations). Slight grubbiness to wrappers otherwise very good.
