Berlin: Nationalgallerie, 2022 33.5 x 24.5cm, 28pp (self cover). Exhibition catalogue for the large scale installation by Kruger over the entire floor of the Nationalgalerie with texts in German and English taken from George Orwell's 1984. The work initially looked impressive but was very hard to read due to the text all being on the floor due to the open plan of the museum's space. Texts in German and English and images of works in red and black throughout. VG+.

Firenze: Zona Archives, 1986 10.5 x 15cm, 2pp. Artist postcard released on the occasion of the series of "Secret Events" created by James Lee Byars, Daniel Buren, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Terry Fox, General Idea, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Sol Lewitt, Maurizio Nannucci and Lawence Weiner for Nannucci's Zona Archives. Here on the front of the card is a photograph of Lewitt's event - a white cube which was left in the post office box of Zona Archives. This is documentation in postcard form after the vent rather than an announcement card. Fine. Scarce.

25.5 x 21.5cm, 98pp plus c.20 pages of adverts. Pictorial card covers. First ever number of this famous and long running art journal. Colour and b/w illustrations throughout. Artist contributions and articles on (in English and German): Gilbert & George, Christian Dior, Vivian Suter, Barbara Kruger and a bound in collaboration by Enzo Cucchi. Some discolouratin to the wrappers with some marks left from previous price labels and one tear at bottom of perfect bound spine which has been carefully reglued (no paper loss) else a VG copy. A very scarce first number from the series.

Special edition of the long running fashion and supposedly woman's magazine issued for the Frieze Art Fair in London in 2018. The cover was a specially commissioned work by Barbara Kruger - Your Body is a Battleground. VG+.

n.p.: s.p. (the artist), 1978 24.5 x 22.5cm, 48pp plus original blue typographic wrappers. Kruger's first book - a text (a short story) is counterpointed by full-page b/w shots of the outside of wooden houses which are bereft any signs of humanity. The book is much more conceptual in content (a la early Wegman) than the artist's later agit-prop conceits. This book has had substantial water damage in the past and many of the pages have previously been stuck together and the prising apart has caused some minor damage with minor surface abrasions throughout. Nonetheless this is an extremely rare artist's book and all pages can be read. Even Kruger's catalogue raisonne does not mention this book although the title exhibition of the photographs is noted as her first public show. Some wear to the extremities of the outer wrappers. Limitation not known but probably not many. Priced thus due to the damage (the only other copy online available at time of writing is over 1,250 uk pounds).

First edition of this artist's book cum exhibition catalogue for the title video installation with a long interview between Kruger and John Calcutt and many full colour stills and installation views throughout. Fine.
