Kobenhavn: J. Chr-Sorensen, n.d. (c. 1946)

24.5 x 17.5cm, 24pp plus origina wrappers with a wrap-around silkscreen work by Jorn in blue and green especially designed for the publication. Exhibition catalogue for this important show of abstract works by the young Jorn and his colleagues in Linien. An introductory text by Lars Rostrup Boyesen is flowed by full page b/w reproductions of works by Else Alfelt, Ejler Bille (two works one a sculpture), Else Fischer-Hansen, Svavar Gudnason, Henry Heerup, Egill Jacobsen, Asger Jorn (Den lyse Sommernat from 1946), Egon Mathiesen, Tage Mellerup, Richard Mortensen, Eric Ortvad, Carl-Henning Pedersen and Erik Thommesen (who also provides a short essay for the middle pages (printed on red paper). One hundred and thirty works are listed with prices. Notable here is the cover of the catalogue which retains an original Jorn silkscreen in two colours. All very good with only a small mark at the bottom of the front cover and a tiny chip missing of paper at the bottom of the spine. Very scarce.
