Dusseldorf. Selbstverlag Lidlraum, n.d. (1968)

29 x 21 cm. 64pp. Original pictorial wrappers. In 1968, Jörg Immendorf and Chris Reinecke initiated the Lidl Group, which lasted three years. "Lidl meant: artistic work in public - out of the ivory tower into the public space - instead of art in museums and galleries hiring suitable rooms that were big enough to let people in from the street and to make them known with our ideas: broadening everyone's awareness. " This is the documentation of a working week in the studio with many b/w images of works and artists. Last two pages have unobtrusive "x"s in red on them and staples a bit rusty but else VG. A scarce item.
