Exhibition catalogue for a solo show of works with an essay in German by Manfred Schmalriede and three colour images of works and 36 b/w images. This catalogue has and original self-portrait by Roth of him sitting (created from a b/w photo-portrait of himself in the book) on the first title page along with a little hand written note based on abbreviations. VG+.

Forlag Edition Reykjavík, Iceland, 1971 23.2 x 17.2cm, unpaginated (800pp) plus pink card covers. The second edition of Roth's Bok 3a Wiederkonstruktion Des Buches Aus Dem Verlag Forlag Ed from 1961 - the book is a bound collection of Greenlandic newspaper cuttings. Issued in an edition of 1,000 copies this is a VG+ example which is signed by Roth in ink on the first page dated 1977.

8 different postcards each 21 x 10.5cm, 2pp. All in original plastic sleeves (4 in each sleeve). The images are from 8 of Roth’s diary pages. This is one of 150 numbered and signed copies (each card identically numbered and signed dated 1967 although the “7” looks like a 9)). This is copy number 82. All in VG+ or mint condition with some minor waviness to the front of the plastic envelopes.

Each book is initialed and numbered in ink on the back sheet by the artist. In original small plastic sealed bag. VG+.

Heidelberg: Edition Tangent, n.d. (1967) 10.3 x 14.7cm, 2pp artist designed postcard - part of the series 5 of such cards issued by Edition Tangent with the theme of the city of Heidelberg. Roth has taken a b/w commercial postcard view of the city and overpainted most of it in white leaving only a small area in the centre and the city name. This is one of only 30 hand signed, dated and numbered copies (in pencil) by Roth. In original semi-transparent mailing envelope. Both VG+.

Koln: Konig, 1970 270 x 210mm, 231pp. First edition of this artist's book - spiral bound in yellow card covers. With the intent on advising the artist/performer of techniques and methods of audience participation, Filliou's notebook is designed for use by the reader - a lot of space is left deliberately blank for notes. Contributions by John Cage, Benjamin Patterson, George Brecht, Allen Kaprow, Marcelle, Vera and Bjoessi and Karl Rot, Dorothy Iannone, Diter Rot, and Joseph Beuys. Fine condition. Now scarce.

A single number from Dick Higgin's Great Bear Pamphlet series which is an artist’s book by Roth with each page a reproduced drawing and texts in English. Black on orange paper. One of the scarcer items from the series. Fine. Not one of the facsimile reprints.

Remscheid: Edition Vice-Versand, 1969

10x 7 x 2cm plastic box (with removable lid) content of a card with a rubber stamp drawing of a high-stool upon which Roth has placed a slice of banana. Roth found the fluid from the banana to be sufficient to firmly glue the matter to the card and this is apparent here too since the detritus is firmly attached. Initialled and dated 1969 by Roth in ink this is a first edition of this unlimited (although now rare) edition. The banana has rotted, of course, but there is a substantial piece of it left along with some banana dust accumulating in the bottom of the box. The card on which it has been placed is browned and buckled from the moisture from the decomposing fruit but over all after 30 years this is as good an example as could be found with no cracks to the box. And, after all, the rotting is the Rot(h) rationale.
