NYC: Printed Matter, 1978 21.5 x 13.5cm, 8=94pp plus card covers. Artist's book which reproduces 1800 single sentences of "secrets" submitted anonymously by visitors to Huebler's "Variable Piece 4" at the Jewish Museum's 1970 "Software" exhibition. The artist asked audience members for an authentic secret never before revealed each entry was then photocopied and given to another participant as part of an ongoing exchange. Some mild discolouration to the white wrappers as usually found, the book is now somewhat hard to find. Else VG+.

Included works by Giovanni Anselmo, John Baldessari, Joseph Beuys, Giuseppe Chiari, James Coleman, James Collins, Jan Dibbets, Gilberrt & George, Dan Graham, Douglas Heubler, Peter Hutchison, Jiri Kolar, Jan (sic) Le Gac, Sol Lewitt, Irs Luthi, Naurizio Nannucci, Dennis Oppenheim, Giulio Paolini, Giuseppe Penone, Arnulf Rainer, Ulrike Rosenbach, Allen Kaprow and others. The card has a horizontal crease and a brown mark on the top right of the card else VG.

30 x 21cm, 6pp b/w conceptual artwork in the form of a postal bulletin with a Heubler's "VARIABLE PIECE 106" - images of 18 mannequins photographed through shop windows on Regent's Street, London and then the nearest person of the same sex was also photographed.

A mailed example with typed address - folded for mailing. VG+.

The exhibition catalogue for the annual sculpture Festival which here has contributions by Acconci, Bas Jan Ader, Andre, Artschwager, Beuys, Stanley Brouwn, Buren, Christo, Darboven, Ad Dekkers, Dibbets, Flanagan, Dan Graham, Mike Heizer, Huebler, Judd, Kawara, Knoebel, LeWitt, Walter de Maria, Mario Merz, Nauman, Oldenburg, Paik (mentioned in the index but we cannot find any internal documentation), Panamarenko, Rinke, Roehr, Ruscha, Sandbeck, Serra, Snelson and others. VG although glue is starting to lose its hold after 50 years!.

NYC: Seth Siegelaub, 1968 21 x 21cm, 20pp plus card covers. First edition of this important conceptual exhibition catalogue displaying 15 works by Heubler in b/w. Short artist's text explaining his conceptual credo which is interesting when compared with Weiner's more famous conceptual dictum: "the artist may construct the piece, etc."- here Heubler indicates the conceptual essence of the works by denoting that the "the existence of each sculpture is denoted by its documentation”. Fine and now scarce.

(circa 1972) 30 x 21cm, 9pp mimeographed typescript for two articles - one eventually published in Art Vivant 1973, the other without publication details - a proofed copy with a couple of small, non-important corrections to the text. The text, outlines the work of Huebler and analyses his Variable and Location pieces. Fine.

Huebler's work at this time examined indivIdual's perception of the world - later he turned to documenting it 'all' despite the impossibility of that self-imposed task. Scarce. Slight paper loss and pin holes to outer corners but otherwise very good.
