Apeldoorn: Municipal van Reekmuseum of Modern Art, 1981 20 x 26cm, 44pp plus card covers. Artist's book released on the occasion of an exhibition with 17 reproductions of black and white photos with texts. Michals photography is placed in a context by the artist's writings. The object of the photographer's gaze is often the male nude. Slight browning to the card covers else VG+. Scarce.

A hand addressed card to James Collins the conceptual artist which has been mailed - the front of the card has some red franking ink on it and an ink underline and change of telephone number else VG.

NYC: s.p. (Duane Michals) 1970 15.5 x 20.5cm, unpaginated (60pp approx). Glassine printed wrappers. First edition of this self-published artist's book which contains four photostories. Slight bumping, minor marks to and one small tear (1cm) to the semi-transparent covers but overall very good. Scarce.

N.p. (NYC?): Sonny Boy Books, 1993 21.5 x 14cm, 80pp. Pictorial wrappers designed by Michael in a printed glassine dust jacket (often missing). A book really for children full of text and photographs and collages by Michals and other sources. Interestingly Michael’ use of photographs to spawn narrative is here in abundance. The result is a charming publication. This is a near fine example and is embellished with a dedication “to little Nikos” in blue ink by the photographer on the first page.

Köln: Ann & Jurgen Wilde, 1972 21 x 21cm, 24pp plus card covers. Artist’s book by the American gay photographer - ten b/w images. No text but the storyline is of a man in a bathroom entering a photograph and leaving.This is one of only 100 signed and numbered "DELUXE" examples issued during the exhibition. Minor marks and light (sun) affects to wrappers else VG+. Very scarce.
