The first and only issue of this journal issued by the Rixes group under the leadership of Edouard Jaguer - a journal which includes textual contributions by Michel Butor, Henin, Dotremont, Huelsenbeck, and Oyvind Fahlstrom and reproductions of works by Wilhelm Freddie, Asger Jorn, Hartung as well as original lithographs by Matta and de Christine which are laid in and removable. A very good example of a scarce post-war surrealist /avant garde journal.

First trade issue of this frenetic Surrealist work by Mansour. The abstract designed by Alechinsky at once undermine and add a subjective edge to the proceedings with every page illustrated on the upper half of the book. There is also on the inner French fold a surrealist drawing of the author by Pierre Molinier. A close to fine example. This copy one of 1,750 on offset sirene although there is a seven line dedication by Mansour again probably for Jageur - "pour Edouard et Hermine les souvenirs passes et futurs de leur amie amoureuse de l'amitie, Joyce, Paris decembre 1969".

28.4 x 21cm, 1pp black and yellow on white. Surrealist tract denouncing the named artists for signing a public appeal on behalf of the jailed Spanish painter Siqueiros who had been jailed for his (supposed) part in the assassination of Leon Trotsky. Signed in print by Alechinsky, Audouin, Bedoin, Benayoun, Benoit, Breton, Dax, Ivsic, Jaguer, Mansour, Mayoux, Parent and Toyen amongst others. Scarce. Near fine apart from a tiny tear top right.

22.5 x 14.5cm, 8pp black on yellow. Collective tract creating a public feud between the "left" of the group and the new artistic journal Planete published by Louise Pauwels and Jacques Bergiers. The debate did Planete no harm - it thrived. Signed by Bedouin, Benayoun, Breton, Dax, Jaguer, Revel amongst others. Fine.

41 x 30.7 cm, 1pp broadside, black on red paper which announces 5 public meetings "Origine et situation historique" (Arnaud, Justet, Passeron); "Objets surrealistes et non figuration" (Atlan, Halpern, Jaguer); "Poesie et vie quotidienne" (Arnaud, Dotremont...); "Erotisme et liberte"  (Daussy, Harpern, Passeron) and "Perspectives du Surrealisme Revolutionnaire" (Arnaud, Dotremont, Passeron).

Each section is serrated and could be removed as a stand alone leaflet - here complete and with only minor tears along the serrations. Fine. Very rare.

Facsimile signatures to this manifesto in the form of an "affiche" included Suzan Allen, Noel Arnaud, Yves Battistini, Max Bucaille, Edouard Jaguer, Rene Passeron, Lucien Biton, Pierre Desgraupes, Pierre Dumayet, Jacques Halpern, Hubert Juin, Jacques Kober, Jean Laude, amongst others.

The broadside is an attack on the Bretonist French surrealist group and tying the Belgium section closer to the Soviet communist party. Fine if a little browned example of this rare document.

The first and scarcest number (of four published) of this journal of the Arte Nucleare group which here has contributions from many involved in the "Bauhaus Imaginista" group and is thus an important document in the development of International Situationism as well as the technophilic arte nucleare movement. Contributions from Sanesi, Jaguer, Izima, Dangelo and original contributions from Fontana, Jorn, Ernst and others.

Fontana's contribution is an original black lithograph on coloured paper which is simply laid in. Some slight fading to wrappers and signs of past water damage to the top and bottom corners which has caused some paper scuffing where pages have in the past been peeled apart, else a vg copy. The Fontana lithograph is very good + with only minor edge soft creases.

First edition of the first monograph devoted to the Danish artist's oeuvre. Alfelt was one of the two female members of the Cobra group (the other being Helge Jacobson). Originally issued in the Cobra Bibliotheket series, as edited by Asger Jorn. A close to fine example of this document. Scarce.
