The programme for a series of plays by artists and dramaturges including Daniel Spoerri (Ja, Mama, das Machen wir), Eugene Ionesco (Das Heiratsfahige madchen), Ferdinand Kriwet (Offen), Gerhard Ruhm (Gehen), Paul Portner (Drei) as well as a short text by each (Kriwet's is more extensive). The introduction of such work was mainly due to the influence of Claus Bremer who was attached to the Ulmer Theater for the period 1960 - 1962. Typographic design. The important documentation of an early theatre work by Spoerri and others. VG+.

17 x 25 cm. B/w illustrations throughout (primarily by Dubuffet). Pictorial wrappers designed by Dubuffet. Single number of this 'Pataphysical journal. This issue devoted to the life and work of Jean Dubuffet. Includes cover and typographic design, texts and drawings by the artist. Other contributions by Georges Limbour, Francois Laloux, Jean Ferry, J.H. Sainmont, Ionesco, Noel Arnaud , Vasco Tartuca. Includes an extensive bibliography + text pieces on Monnier, Proust and Ernst + an interview with Ionesco. A close to fine example. Scarce.

19.5 x 14cm, 160 pp. Original wrappers. First edition of these key dramas of the Theatre de l'Absurde - which includes La Cantatrice Chauve, La Lecon, Jacques ou la Soumission and Le Salon de l'Automobile. One of 2,000 numbered copies on Special Teka paper. Some edge wear to the red wrappers and slight corner creases but overall very good. Scarcer than the limitation suggests.
