London: Tate Gallery/Turner Prize, 1997

30 x 21cm, 16pp self cover. Exhibition guide/catalogue for the annual UK arts prize - which was won by Gillian Wearing. Each artist has 2pp of essays and photographs of the works submitted and there are 24 small colour images of the various works. this was the first and only time there had been an all woman shortlist for the prize - with Christine Borland, Angela Bulloch and Cornelia Parker joining Wearing as competitors. Very good although slightly former price label stain on front cover which could be removed with care.

Exhibition catalogue for this joint British artist show on Italian soil - an essay in Italian and English by Angela Vettese backs onto three b/w reproductions of works (one each) by the artists. Fine. Scarce relatively early document.

A single number of this short-lived commercial magazine in small format designed to promote the furniture and interior decoration chain store. interview with Max Wigram, and short promotional articles for shows of Gillian Wearing, Rich Ross and a cover by Glenn Brown. Inserted in the back French fold is an especially designed full colour poster/lithograph by Martin Maloney of a painting - Total Devotion. Folded several times - opens to 25 x 59cm. Inner staples are rusty else VG+.

Two colour variations (yellow and pink) 2.4cm dia. button badges - the "Tell Gillian" refers to the artist's works where participants are encouraged to tell secrets to the artist and have them later published anonymously. Both fine. Price is for both together.
