Additionally, there is laid-in the promotional leaflet for this title. Dedicatee's name clipped, else very good example.

24.5 x 16.3cm, 24pp.  Original wrappers. The fourth number of this vanguard revue as  edited and published by Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Tri-lingual (French, German and English) texts and illustrations by Raoul Hausaman, Kandinsky, Hans Arp, Kurt Schwitters and Georges Hugnet as well as a short novel which was co-written in a collaboration by Arp, Duchamp, Eluard, Ernst, Hugnet, Pastoureau and Gisele Prassino. A very good example apart from a closed 4cm tear along the bottom of the spine. Scarce.

19.5 x 14.5cm, 14pp. Original printed wrappers. First edition of the author's rare fifth book. This example on 'velin' from an unstated total issue (apparently no more than 100 were printed + 15 numbered examples on 'Hollande'). Prassinos embodied the Surrealist ideal/concept of 'La Femme Enfant', quintessentially. In 1934 (at 14), she presented her very advanced and Surrealist-influenced fictions for publication to Andre Breton (one will recall the famous photo of Prassinos dressed in schoolgirl uniform, as she reads to Breton, Eluard, Soupault et al who look on raptured). Her first book 'La Sauterelle Arthritique', replete with a preface by Eluard and photo by Man Ray would be published in the following year. Fine condition.

This example has a (later) signed dedication in green ink "A Jean Trubert" where Prassinos alludes to her age when writing the book and apologising for the "late" dedication.

14 x 20.3cm. unbound signatures, comprising 34pp. Six full-page b/w illustrations by Jean-Mario Prassinos, each housed in individual card folder, and the whole within publisher's card folder. First edition of this engaging and rare prose work by Prassinos (who was then only 17). Appropriately accompanied by a series of six pictorial designs by her brother. One of only 125 examples 'sur roto vert' (+ 20 'sur arches') printed. All elements in fine estate in like folder.

This represents one of the latter's earliest contributions to a Surrealist  bookwork. This example is number 125 from a total issue of some 205 + a handful of hors commerce  examples.  This copy additionally has a lengthy dedication on the half-title from Prassinos. Fine estate. Rare.

22.2 x16.1cm. 8pp. Self-wrappers. First edition of this collection of two short tales by Prassinos. One of a small 'unstated' issue after six numbered 'du tete' copies. Published in the Editions Sagesse series of booklets (nr 14) edited by the modernist poet Fernand Marc. A very good+ example of this ephemeral and rarely encountered work.

12.5 x 15cm. 108pp. B/w photographic wrappers (Prassinos at age 14 reading to the Surrealist group). First edition of this inaugural full-length critique devoted to the manifold literary and artistic endeavours of Gisele Prassinos (from Surrealist teenagedom on). A fine example.
