Munich: Omnibus Press, 1981

21 x 14cm, 224pp. Boards with dustjacket. Monograph on the work of Nash's colleague in the Second Situationist International; Hardy Strid. The artist was a major force for modernism in Denmark and was a co-founder of the Co-Rictus group (which along with Wolf Vostell could lay claim to be the original graffiti / street artists at one point appropriating an unused 300 foot commercial street billboard and overnight turning it into an abstract mural although two members of the group - Nash and Thorsen were arrested for their troubles; Strid and Kunzelmann were mixing paint at the time in the gallery opposite and completed the work). Many many full colour and full page illustrations of works which suggest Strid's influences were much more pop than Cobra and extensive documentation of articles in journals, books etc and a major index / tabulation of all of the works of Strid and their media. This copy is signed by Nash and also by Strid (the latter at a slightly later date). Fine association copy of this useful and rather wonderful reference.

24 x 17.8cm, 192pp plus card wrappers. A triple number of this artistic journal founded by Nash and Jorn (who were brothers) after the former was excluded from the International Situationists by Debord along with the SPUR grouping. The magazine was subtitled Tidskrift for konst mot atombomber, p var och politiker ("Magazine for art against atomic bombs, popes and politicians").

The new organisation formed by Nash was called the "Bauhaus Situationists". The journal was named after the Drakabygget farmhouse in Southern Sweden where Nash lived and turned into a commune.

This number has contributions by Al Hansen, Jean Sellem, Asger Jorn, Lis Zwick, Spur, Jorgen Nash, Arne Ruste, Terje Johanssen, Hardy Strid, and others and is illustrated in b/w with new collages, photographs, drawings and found imagery.

A VG+ example.

Copenhagen: Sommerudstillingen, 1963

24.5 x 19cm, 36pp plus wrappers. The programme for this famous Danish early Fluxus festival complete held in June 1963 which was organised in part by Eric Andersen as well as Jens Jorgen Thorsen and Arthur Kopcke. Texts and poems by all three artists alongside b/w illustrations/collages and a short essay by Birger Hansen. Adverts include mention of a concert by Thorsen and Jorgen Plaetner. VG+.

JOINT WITH AS ISSUED

SOMMERUDSTILLINGEN 63. 1963. FLUXUS FESTIVAL.

Copenhagen: Sommerudstillingen, 1963

24 x 19cm, 8pp. Programme for the week of events which notes a concert by John Cage and David Tudor as the main concert - with a Fluxus action evening two days later consisting of performances from Eric Andersen, Henning Christiansen (2), Dich (sic) Higgins and John Davidsen. And the day after more by Andersen. On the 12 June 1963 - there was a "Co-ritus Koncert" by Jens Jorgen Thorsen with help by Jorgen Nas and Allan Hardy Strid. And on the final night - "Fluxus - aften" by Arthur Kopcke, John Davidsen, Henning Christiansen, Eric Andersen. An exhibition of art works by various artists are also listed with prices.

An interesting very early coming together of Danish experimental artists who are usually more closely aligned with CoBra and the Situationists and with Fluxus participants.

Both items are in VG+ condition although the front cover of the programme has a browning across the front top sheet (see photograph).

Rare.
