Amsterdam`: Stedilijk Mseum, 2012

11 x 15.5cm semi-transparent printed envelope content of three 10.5 x 15cm, 2pp artist postcard and a 10.5 x 15cm, 1pp sheet of 3 adhesive cinderella stamps with a "Nul = O" design.

In 1966 the Nul Gruppe (Armando, Jan Hendrikse, Henk Peeters, Jan Schoonhoven) proposed a major installation Zero op Zee where works by the Dutch artists would be presented along with related artists from Europe, America, and Japan. The event would take place on the Pier of Scheveningen. It was never realised.

As part of an exhibition in Amsterdam in 2012, Henk Peeters created three photo-montages based on the original plans and also a small set of cinderella stamps.

The cards and the stamps were released as a limited edition, in an envelope.

The cards and stamps are in VG++ condition but the envelope has a closed tear of about 5cm on the back and other small flaws. Very scarce item.

Haarlem, Schiedam, Groningen: Der Hallen/Stedilijk/Groningen Museums, 1969

10.5 x 29cm, 64pp. Original boards with a lenticular design on the front which causes an optical illusion of movement when the book is tilted. An exhibition of early optical art with contributions by Woody van Amen, Frans en Marja de Boer Lichtveld, Pieter Cornelisse, Huub Dröge, Jeroen Henneman, Frans Hermes, Arie Jansma, Leendert Janzee, Livinus, Karel Martens, Willem Marijs, Ber Mengels, Jan van Munster, Henk Peeters, Kees Roest, Gust Romijn, Wim T. Schippers, Jan Spit, Ray Staakman, Frans Verpoorten, Jos Wong en Johan van Zutphen. Each has a work in b/w reproduced full sheet. Some of the participants were associated with the Zero/Nul Group.

This book was poorly designed and the page block in almost all copies has fallen away because it was glued (lumbeck binding) rather than a more secure design. This example suffers from the same fate - else it is VG. Priced to reflect this.

Amsterdam: n.p., 1963
Standard VHS cassette containing a 20 minute nationally broadcast (VARA) Fluxus tv program organised by Wim T. Schippers and Willem de Ridder with performances and features on the two artists, Spoerri, and Vostell. There is also an interview with Henk Peeters, the founder of the Nul movement in the Netherlands, where there is an attempt at a definition of the Zero Group's aims: 'We present reality as we see it' and clips of Piero Manzoni, Stanley Brown and Yves Klein at work.
In addition, the programme covers among others Pop Art, Nouveau Realisme, Fluxus, the Zero and Nul Groups and kinetic art. To the best of our knowledge, there was no regular edition of this video (this version is European PAL only). Fine condition. A interesting document albeit a bootleg recording (we believe by De Ridder).
