First edition of this anthology of poetry taken from art brus sources such as children or poets who use simple language such as Boncors, Chaissac, Le Facteur Cheval, Louis Perrot, Henri Rousseau, Gabriel Toutin. There are eight photographs hors-texte by Brassaï. Unnumbered copy aside from the 175 du tete.

Sadly the front cover is detached and the spine has paper loss along its length. Usually around £95 due to its scarcity we have reduced the price here substantially.

20 x 15cm, 140 pp plus wrappers - a surrealist monograph on the painter (text in French) with 40 b/w  reproductions of works. Very good.

A very rare period document. Some foxing and browning and the relatively simple binding is worn at the spine.

25 x 16 cm, 14pp plus original wrappers. Exhibition catalogue to posthumously honour surrealist hero and naIf artist Rousseau (1844-1910). Texts by Eluard (Autobiographie d'Henri Rousseau). - Jakovsky (Gentil Rousseau - Fac-simile d'une lettre adressee a Ambroise Vollard and Apollinaire (Souvenir du douanier)). One of 125 numbered examples on velin d'Arches ("du tete"). Foxing apparent on cover and some pages else VG.

2 volumes, uniformly 17.5 x 11.2cm, 142pp and 168pp. Stiff card original wrappers. First edition of this collection of theatrical works by Rousseau with a preface by Tzara in volume one. Photographs of Douanier Rousseau and the original manuscript cover act as frontispiece.

Paper is heavily browned and the numbers in the two volumes are not the same (707 and 709) the closeness of which suggests a dispatch mistake rather than a later reunion otherwise very good and volume two is mostly uncut.

Tzara's preface works hard to try to place these works in some sort of historical significance. One of 2,000 numbered copies issued.

23 x 21cm, 16pp + 15 b/w plates. Pale orange printed paper dustjacket with printed label over boards. First edition of this brief survey of new works emerging from the French avant garde presented by Arp and Neitzel for the interest of German readers. The choice of works displayed herein was made by Arp who has included Henri Rousseau le Douanier (2 works), Matisse (4), van Dongen (3), Derain (2), Picasso (4). Very good with only some minor paper loss at top and bottom of dustjacket.

32 x 25cm, 52pp plus wrappers. Exhibition catalogue of the naif painter. 132 reproductions of works with 4 in full colour. A hors commerce copy from the edition of 1,030 numbered copies. There is a long text introductory by Roch Grey, and associate of Apollonaire and contributor to SIC. Sadly the spine is in trouble here with long splits and it is barely together - needs repair/restoration - a scarce book this is priced to reflect condition.
