Paris: Galerie Nina Dausset, May/June1950

27.5 x 21.5cm, 40pp. Original wrappers. The first and only issue of this journal issued by the Rixes group under the leadership of Edouard Jaguer - a journal which includes textual contributions by Michel Butor, Henin, Dotremont, Huelsenbeck, and Oyvind Fahlstrom and reproductions of works by Wilhelm Freddie, Asger Jorn, Hartung as well as original lithographs by Matta and de Christine which are laid in and removable. A very good example of a scarce post-war surrealist /avant garde journal.

Paris: Instance, 1951

19 x 14cm, 16pp. Five b/w reproductions after works by the artist. Original wrappers. First edition. A scarce catalogue of works by the abstract-Surrealist Boumeester.

Particularly noteworthy for the text contributions by Noel Arnaud, Gaston Bachelard, Max Clarac-Serou, Francis Picabia and Iaroslav Serpan. One of only 200 numbered examples from a total issue of 225. Boumeester (with her husband Henri Goetz) participated in the exhibitions of the short-lived post-WWII para-Surrealist 'Vrille' group, together with Jean Atlan, Victor Brauner, Picabia, Raoul Ubac, Gerard Vulliamy, and others. Evrard de Rouvre coordinated the group. A very good+ example of this elusive documentation.<br />
