27 x 20.8cm, 20 pp (includes slightly heavier paper weight cover). First edition of the second issue of this now very scarce journal, edited by Lemaitre and Isou (which only had three issues). Texts by Maurice Lemaître, Gabriel Pomerand, Jean-Louis Brau, Gil J. Wolman, Isidore Isou, most notably the preface to the film "Le film est déjà commencé" by Maurice Lemaître. UInternal pages are browned due to cheap paper, cover slightly so else VG+. Rare.

27.5 x 21.5cm 1pp b/w offset announcement for a night of Letteriste cinema which included sou's film "Traité de Bave et d'Eternité" from April 1951; Gil Wolman's "L'Anticoncept" (1952), Guy Debord's "Hurlements en faveur de Sade" from June 1952, Jean Louis Brau's "La barque de la vie courante" and Serge Berna's "Du léger rire qu'il y a autour de la mort" although the last two were still in production.
The leaflet ends with the statement "NOUS FAISONS LA REVOLUTION A NOS MOMENTS PERDUS". The leaflet as issued just as the Letterist movement was spliting apart with Berna, Brau, Debord and Wolman deciding to form the Letterist International. VG although some edge wear including a closed tear left and handling soft creases apxparent.

28 x 11.5cm, 222pp. Original wrappers. An example of Isou's talent for creating erotic novels for cash - here published under his real name. It is rumoured (perhaps encouraged by himself) that Isou was a professional gigolo when he first came to Paris - certainly one has to admire his youthful Elvis Presley-like handsome visage but perhaps this claim of sexual activity was no more than myth. Very good.

This copy (as is often the case) is missing the mini poster which was meant to be glued to the inside back cover (but which was often simply laid in and frequently lost), the paper is browned and.many of the pages are displaying various degrees of foxing. Nonetheless scarce.

Texts include "Esthétique du cinéma" by Isidore Isou, "Cinéma nucléaire" by Marc'O, "Hurlements en faveur de Sade" by G. E. (Guy) Debord, "Tambours du jugement premier" by Dufrêne, "La légende cruelle" by Gabriel Pomerand, "L'Anticoncept" by Wolman and shorter articles by Y. du Luart, Serge Berna, Poucette, Monique Geoffroy.The plates show portraits of Isou, Poucette, Pomerand, Wolman, Berna, Y. du Luart, M. Geoffroy. Berréby and the famous first published image of Debord looking louche.

Minor wear to edges and spine with minor tears. Internally pages are browned (as always). The cover is in excellent condition with no fading as the book has been kept in a glassine envelope. The book was lent to the filmmaker Christian Jamicot by Gil Wolman and on the book's return Jamicot has left a signed note to Wolman in ink thanking him on the glassine envelope. A correspondence copy and in much better condition than usually found. The glassine envelope is somewhat torn but still protects the book.

The first number of this Letteriste/early situationist journal with texts and illustrations by Lemaître, Matricon, Legros, Dufrêne, Wolman, Berna, Brau, Guillaumin, and Isou. The most renowned of the series with both theoretical and artistic contributions by the group.

Wear to spine with some paper loss at the bottom and crease marks. Paper as always browned. Over all close to VG.
