NYC: s.p. (Brecht), 1963

32.5 x 25cm, 2pp, Black on cream paper. The very first mention of "V TRE" - a name apparently appropriated from a broken neon sign - which Brecht published a year before Maciunas began the publication of the journal of the same name. Contributions from Claes Oldenburg, Ruth Krauss, Robert Morris, Heinz Gappmayr, Angus MacLise and Jackson MacLow. Brecht's design clearly was copied by/influenced Maciunas who created very similar paste ups to this item in the later journals.

This is very rare and this example is in VG+ condition.

Lake Toxaway/London: Sixpacks, 1973
260pp plus wrappers. A single number of this art and literature journal which was dedicated to articles by and about Paul Blackburn. In itself not a rare item but this example includes two original interventions by Carolee Schneemann and Jackson Mac Low.
Schneemann has a double page original ink and watercolour painting by the artist over her text "In, on and about my promises" which is dedicated to "Simon" and signed by the artist in pencil.
Also dedicated to "Simon" is a double page text ink drawing by Mac Low over his poetic texts "1st Apostrophe & collage for Paul Blackburn", "2nd Apostrophe & collage for Paul Blackburn" and "3rd Apostrophe & collage for Paul Blackburn". This work is also signed "Jackson" in ink.
The magazine is in VG condition although the pages are not perfectly glued to the spine. Unique thus.
