N.p. (Berlin): Galerie Bloom, 1990

60 x 41cm (open size) - broadside/wall poster issued by Bazon Brock on the occasion of Bloomsday 16 July 1990. The entire sheet is filled with parody short articles where any proper name has been changed to the word Bloom (which not only refers to Joyce's character but also to the German word for people). Brock had previously issued an example of BlLoom Zeitung in 1963, this being the Neue Bloom Zeitung. Folded as issued with minor handling creases else VG.

Paris: les Amis de 1914, 1936

21.5 x 13cm, 8pp self wraps. Announcement brochure for the avant garde journal supported by Andre Salmon, Gino Severini, Jean Cocteau, James Joyce, Rachilde and others mostly of the right wing /patriotic persuasion (an extensive list of supporters is reproduced here). The brochure is mostly notable for a reproduced 3pp text of a speech given by Gabriel Boissy in honour and in the presence of the Futurist Marinetti. Elsewhere there is an announcement of a fundraising ball (as the Friends were losing 500 francs a week according to the notice) and also a salon in honour of Alexandre Guinle with the participation of Paul Valery amongst others and a short festival of Czech cinema. Very good and partially uncut if previously horizontally folded.

55 x 38cm, 4pp broadsheet faux newspaper (based on the Bild Zeitung) celebrating Bloomsday - the day on which the events of James Joyces Ulysses took place (16 June). Written by Bazon Brock, Bernhard Jäger, and Thomas Bayerle - the articles all replace nouns in the original articles with the name BLOOM and the double inner page is a poster with BLOOM printed in huge typescript in b/w which also served as a poster for an exhibition in the Gallery Dorothea Loehr.
