Hannover: Kestner Gesellschaft, 1986
21 x 21cm, 112pp plus pictorial covers. Museum exhibition catalogue with sixty-two works reproduced in colour (including some collaborations with Andy Warhol) and a lengthy essay in German by Michael Stoeber. Very good. One of the artist's last exhibition. Rare as are all Baquiat exhibition catalogues.

NYC: Mary Boone, 1985
28 x 26.5cm, 28pp plus wrappers. Exhibition catalogue of Basquiat's last exhibition with Boone - after the previous year's amazingly successful launch at the same gallery - displaying numerous full page, full colour illustrations of works are contained in the handsome publication. We understand that after leaving Boone's Gallery for good ("I had the honor of phoning Mary and telling her that Jean Michel only wants to be with me" - Bischofberger stated as quoted in Hoban 1998) Boone dumped most of her remaining catalogues from the two shows out of pique hence making this a very rare item. Fine.
