27 x 30cm, 588pp plus grey cloth covers in original printed slipcase. Many full pages in colour (286) and black & white photographs by Wolfgang Volz covering the production, installation and success of Christo's wrapping of the Pont Neuf. Fine in fine publisher's slipcase.
Includes an actual swatch of the fabric used in the project (which was chosen to closely blend into the local architectural stone) as well as a transparent overlay.
This copy unusually contains a 15 x 10cm publicity postcard for the book which explains the book was designed by Christo and part financed by his own money (as with most of the couple's projects). The card is signed verso by Jeanne-Claude and recto (over an attractive image of the wrapped bridge) by Christo in ink. Fine.
