5.5 x 5.5cm, aluminium wrapped lubricated condom with two texts by Jenny Holzer in red - on the front "Tenderly" and on the back "Tenderly I will use you". The latter quotation is from Walt Whitman. One of 10,000 originally published although many were used or supplied to the MMS limited edition box. Now hard to find. Unopened. We do not recommend using these condoms although there is an expiration date of 2026 on them - they are designed to be artworks first and foremost. VG+.

Paris: Yvon Lambert Editions, 2022

32 x 23cm, with 8pp internally that opens up to 32 x 88cm for the central image. This is the  twentieth book of the Pli selon pli collection published by Yvon Lambert displaying the work of major book artists. The outer cover is on Colorplan Real Grey 270 gr in a full blue canvas cover with tipped on title label - internally the pages which include five Truisms in English by Holzer including  "It is in your self-interest to find a way to be very tender" across the internal four pages and single pages showing "Peiple look like they are dancing before they love", "Turn soft and lovely any time you have a chance", "Savour kindness because cruelty is always possible later", and In a dream you found a way to survive and you were full of joy". The printing has utilised gold leaf to create each page and this is a truly beautiful artist' book. The inside back cover has a colophon tipped on which is signed and numbered by Holzer. Near fine.

A set of ten, back on various coloured stock posters each uniformly 43 x 43cm containing Holzer's breakthrough text work. These are the first edition (there were two variants in size) issued over the period 1979 - 1982 and posted throughout Manhattan by the artist as an early street art work. Exceptionally rare - there have been three other re-issues of these texts but this is their first incarnation. One of the prints has been hand signed by Holzer at a later stage. Fine. Purchased from Printed Matter when Holzer donated it to them as a fundraiser.
