Additionally this example has an original and unique ink drawing by Bertini based on the initials of the various participants which has been deliberately smeared by the artist who has added a large “B” on the right of the drawing that dominates the image. In addition the work is dated “70”. A unique work in an already very scarce catalogue in VG+ condition.

Two panels. Each 80 x 60cm. Iris print on plastic.

A concrete work ("dactylographie") originally conceived in 1956 and finally produced in this form in 1992. Blaine uses two found letters to create a new poetic work by crossing out the word leaving the poem "beneath" to be found from the debris of someone else's text.

The poem reads thus:

Pailhas was the gallerist who first showed the work in exhibition.

Both panels together comprise the work. The distressed aspect of the image was of course apparent on the original found letters - the works in this format are in fine estate.

Price is for both panels together.
