24.5 x 24.5cm, 32cm (self cover). Stapled. A single issue of the magazine which was published and designed by Phillip Steadman and often reproduced important texts by key artistic pioneers. This issue  was released to correspond with the  'Brighton Festival Exhibition of Concrete Poetry' and features a map and index of works alongside a text by curator Stephen Bann. Other articles include  translation of 'The first years of Concrete Poetry' by Eugen Gomringer, an essay by Lewis Shelley on the Black Mountain College,  Albers on 'My courses at the Hochschule fur Gestaltung at Ulm', and Irving Finkelstein on Albers' "Graphic Tectonics". Additionally  Lev Nusberg on "What is Kinetism?'and Charles Biederman on 'A Non-Aristotelian Creative Reality'. There is poetry by Anselm Hollo, alongside 'Two Men' by Kurt Schwitters and 'Towards a Constructive Poetry' by I.K. Bonset (aka Theo von Doesburg) and a "Manifesto on the Lawfulness of Sound" by Raoul Hausmann. Wrappers are a noit browned near the edges else VG+.

This single number from series of magazines edited by Philip Steadman, Mike Weaver and Stephen Bann - here the third number which contains a section called "Poems by Ian Hamilton Finlay" which reproduced four works = Star/Steer, Purse-net Boat, Line Boats and the untitled but usually known as Planet. Interestingly the "circle" of Planet is placed more anti-clockwise than the print in Linea Sur of the same work (the reason may just be a mistake in layout in one of the publications). Purse-net Boa and Line Boats are less commonly found and there is an annotation by Finlay explaining that a Purse-seine is a "new kind of net that makes an actual ring arund the fish. It has been immensely profitable.".

Also a 2pp article "Merz - Manifest Proletkunst" onn Schwitters with four images (two in colour) and the front cover also a Schwitters wooden assemblage. VG+.

25 x 16.5cm, 30pp. Original blue wrappers printed yellow. With seventeen plates (including tipped-in colour frontispiece by Chagall and a small b/w block print by Kandinsky as frontispiece) reproducing work by Kandinsky, Marc, Severini, Leger, Klee, Molzahn, Muche, Schwitters and others. A reprinted essay from Der Sturm as a separate pamphlet intended to promote those artists in favour at the magazine.

Walder was in fact the pseudonym of Georg Lewin, gallerist and the founder of Der Sturm and promoter of German and other expressionism. A VG example with only minor browning to the internal pages (printed on cheap paper) and some browning around the extremities of the oversize wrappers but this is as good an example as one is likely to find.

24.5 x 16.3cm, 24pp.  Original wrappers. The fourth number of this vanguard revue as  edited and published by Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Tri-lingual (French, German and English) texts and illustrations by Raoul Hausaman, Kandinsky, Hans Arp, Kurt Schwitters and Georges Hugnet as well as a short novel which was co-written in a collaboration by Arp, Duchamp, Eluard, Ernst, Hugnet, Pastoureau and Gisele Prassino. A very good example apart from a closed 4cm tear along the bottom of the spine. Scarce.

15 x 28cm. 26pp. 23 b/w plates, inclusive of documentary photos, and after works by Schwitters. Printed wrappers. First edition of this catalogue, as compiled by Burkett. Insightful documentation of Schwitters wartime exile in the U.K. Details much about the final Merzbau. VG+.

14 x 18cm, outer mailing envelope content of a nested set of three other envelopes (each consecutively smaller) which have been printed to suggest that all have been mailed in the past and sent back and forth from the gallery. On the final envelope the outside is stamped "No longer at this address".

Inside the final envelope are an announcement on transparent paper of the change of address of Ubu gallery and announcing the new partnership between Adam Boxer and Herdrik Berinson in the gallery. There is a second announcement card for a Schwitters show which is typographic in nature.

As usual with UBU the card is in an unusual format. VG+ apart from the actual mailing envelope which has been opened roughly.
