Edinburgh/Temple:Society of Spectacles/Show & Tell Editions, 2021
30 x 21cm, 32pp (self cover) with lamination. This full colour digital book cum programme is the first missive from the Society of Spectacles.
The works contained in SPECTACLE #1 were written and created in direct response to Jimmy Cauty's dystopian vision ESTATE, which at time of writing, is installed in Edinburgh's Pilton/Muirhouse for a month.
There is an interview with Cauty as well as many images of ESTATE, new writings for the first time in years from Scotland's Laura Hird and Gordon Legge, a consideration of life in the towers of Liverpool by Neil Cooper and urban inspired works by Alex Allan in an art section. VG+.
