Paris: KWY, 1962

30.9 x 20.3cm, 34pp plus card covers front and back with an original; screen printed cover in purple, gold and black by Jan Voss and Guido Biasi. A single number of this important artist's journal with reproductions of paintings by Cy Twombly, Christo, original screenprints by Lourdes Castro, and Paul Wunderlich, and texts by Guido Biasi, Benjamin Patterson, Jan Voss, Guido Biasi, George Noël, Carl László, François Dufrêne, and Jean Jaques Levêque. There is also a tipped-in fold out serigraph by René Bertholo. The KWY group were founded by Rene Bertholo and Lourdes Castro. The pages were originally perfect bound but as usual the glue has deteriorated after 60 years and the pages are mostly loose but complete and in very good condition. The yellow publisher's band is missing here as usual, priced thus to reflect the ned to reglue the binding.
