Milano: Ugo Mulas, 1969

2.5 x 26.7cm, b/w vintage photograph showing Enrico Baj, Lusia Fonata and Marcel Duchamp at the XIII Triennale di Milano taken by Ugo Mulas. The image of the three jovial artists is taken through an unidentified sculpture (probably a mirror work by Baj if the handwritten note in Italian is to be believed). We believe this to be a unique photograph and on the reverse is a handwritten label with details signed by Ugo Mulas. Very slight indents to front (only seen in reflected light) else VG+.

Paris: Galerie Iris Clert, 1962
Uniformly, 18.4 x 26.1 cm. 4pp. per. B/w photo-documentation. Small tabloid format. The fifth of 46 numbers of the influential and eccentric gallerist's intriguing review. Always noted for her presentations of the newest tendencies on the art market in an unconventional manner, Clert's "Iris Time" serves as both documentation, newsletter, gossip tabloid and catalogue forum for the gallery's artists. And, on every copy, Clert's own image on the masthead posed as a vamp. This number promotes the "Salon D'Avril" which includes work by Arp, Arman, Bury, Copley, Fontana, Golub, Man Ray, Seuphor, Takis, Trouille amongst others. VG+. Scarce.

Some slight fading to wrappers and signs of past water damage to the top and bottom corners which has caused some paper scuffing where pages have in the past been peeled apart, else a vg copy. The Fontana lithograph is very good + with only minor edge soft creases.

Hannover: Kestner-Gesellschaft Hannover, 1968
21 x 16.5cm, 72pp. Card covers with an image of Fontana creating a canvas. First edition of last exhibition catalogue for the artist as he died in September of 1968. Thirty-five works are reproduced in the catalogue with seven in colours and full page. Long essays by Wieland Schmied and Kurt Leonhard in German and 69 works noted as being exhibited. Biography and bibliography and list of exhibitions. Some previous water damage to the very bottom of the book has caused a rough patch of the front cover (0.7 x 4cm) to be erased and a couple of small corners are torn but all Fontana period catalogues are scarce to find. Priced thus.
