First edition of these clipped illustrated memoirs by Montparnesse's most famous model, "chanteuse informale", star of Man Ray's "L'Etoile de Mer", and many wild Parisian nights. The false sexy rumour of the time was that she could not grow pubic hair and did not need to shave. A close to fine example of this very desirable and highly entertaining work. Scarce.

Three separate numbers in two issues of this Danish art review which includes the rare double number (5/6) devoted to French surrealism with poems in their original language by Paul Eluard, Hugnet, Dali, Peret as well as illustrations by Dali, Valentine Hugo, Magritte, Man Ray, Arp.  Edited by the painter and writer Vilhelm Bjerke-Petersen.

Nr 1 has contributions by and on Arp, Kandinsky, Petersen and others and reproductions of works after Man Ray, Sophie Tauber Arp, Kandinsky, Arp, Dali and Max Ernst amongst others. Original wrappers retained, both copies have former owner's signatures on the first inside page and the wrappers of the double issue have some printer's ink stains and a minor water mark reducing what would have been otherwise near fine to very good+. Rare.

32 x 23cm, 84pp plus card covers. Original glassine paper dj. First edition of this artist's book illustrated with 10 original lithographs by Man Ray en texte a further bound in one page reproduced drawing by Duchamp and a cover design by Duchamp. The text in Italian is by Arturo Schwarz. An unnumbered example, many pagers have spots of light and dark foxing and the glassine sheet is torn in various places although complete. Scarce publication in any condition.

30 x 24.8cm, 2pp offset photolithograph with a work by the surrealist which is the letter "R" created for the series "L'alfabeto di Bolaffiarte". The work is the artist's signature and is printed to allow parts of the image to be raised (to create "veins"). One of 5,000 numbered copies (on the reverse) which was also produced for Bolaffi's magazine cover. This work was unsigned by Man Ray but noterised on his behalf to make the work "official"  with an embossed bling stamp of his signature while on the left is the blind stamp of the publisher, overleaf a short text has the stamped number. VG+.

10.5 x 15cm, 1pp typographic design listing the 60 artists represented by the gallery. Verso blank and unposted. Sadly someone has made a small sketch on the front in blue ink. Priced thus.
