22 x 17cm, 4pp announcement card for a solo show of recent sculptures by Miro. One of his paintings reproduced on the outside in red, green, blue, yellow. Internally gallery details/ VG but there is a clear but flattened vertical crease on both sides of the card and very slight marks near edges.

10.5 x 13cm, 1pp typographic announcement card for the annual avant garde exhibition - here the show included famous works by Miro and Picasso but these are not mentioned on the card.  There is a small note in blue ink along the bottom of the card in Frnech else VG.

27 x 21cm, 1pp announcement leaflet for a public meeting and exhibition - the text warns: "We won't talk much We will see a lot of moving things and in colour, interruptions will be part of the program". Paper is a little fragile and browned but a hard to find document. 

33 x 29cm, 48pp plus wrappers and dust jacket all in folio board covers and slipcase. Self-wrappers. Second edition - a facsimile copy of the original famous collaboration displaying Miro's four-colour woodcuts integrated into the text of this cycle of Surrealist love poems by Eluard. This copy has some minor binding problems with a few pages loose within the book - but is otherwise very good+. Repair would be easy as would repairs to the slipcase which is also slightly damaged.

19 x 14cm, 170pp. Original wrappers. First edition of this Hugnet selected<br />anthology of surrealist verse with illustrations of paintings and objects (some of them little-known) hors texte by Man Ray, Giacometti, Miro, Dali.

11 x 15.5cm printed envelope content of 6 postcard works printed in colours with designs after Hans Bellmer, Salvador Dali, Arshile Gorky, Miro, Svanberg,  and Clovis Trouille.

Exemplary of the (then) extremist and retrospective erotic researches that characterizsed so much of Surrealist group activity from its inception.

All elements in fine estate in a sadly torn printed envelope.

These cards were usually found in the deluxe edition of the exhibition catalogue Boite Alert that was issued at the time in an edition of only 200 copies. Scarce.

20.4 x 12.4cm, 32pp plus printed wrappers. Exhibition catalogue. Asger Jorn first joined the Linien group in Copenhagan in 1935 at the age of 21 after a period of creating mostly mediocre works of a realist nature. This established group of painters and sculptors were a melange of post-surrealist artists who painted in an abstract style which immediately influenced Jorn's expressionistic work. This exhibition contained works by members of Linien along some works by painters whom they regarded as their influences. Nine such works are noted herein and reproduced in b/w by Sophie Tauber Arp, Hans Arp, van Doesberg, Ernst, Kandinsky, Klee, Miro, Mondrian, Banguy, Bentsen, Hull and joined from the Linien group Olafsson, Olafsson, Heerup, Ferlov, Bille, Graumann, Dryberg-Petersen, Jacobsen and Asger O. Jorgensen (Jorn) himself. The latter earlier incarnation of Jorn displayed 7 works according to the catalogue (price for each was 250 kroner). Later Jorn (in the 1950s) was shown this catalogue and he wrote on the first internal page "ma premiere expedition a Copenhague/Jorn" in blue ink and on the page with his exhibition listing he crossed out parts of the printed name "Asger O. Jorgensen" and signed his name as Jorn above it. Sadly this book has become damp in the past and ink from the red printed card wrappers has leeched through the pages of the book. However as a flaw it is not so very terrible, all pages are easily read (red?) and visible - overall, with that noted flaw, it is in very good condition apart from rust on the staples. A rarity made even more so by Jorn's intervention.
