21 x 15cm, 24pp. Card covers. First Swedish translation of this key IS and student text. Translated by Gunnar Sandin and Anders Lofqvist. The IS's stated policy of written works having no copyright meant that translations of works could proceed without consent - something which allowed a quick spread of ideas amongst radicalised groups. Fine and scarce.

Strasbourg, Union Nationale des Etudiants de France Association Federative Generale des Etudiants de Strasboug,1966

21.5 x 13.5cm, 28pp plus original blue wrappers. The first edition of this cause de scandale which was published by mis-appropriated funds when five pro-Situationist students formed an anarchist appreciation society in Strasbourg, infiltrated the student-union and invited the SI to write a critique about the university and intellectual society in general. The book (despite the collective imprint) was, in actuality, written by IS activist Mustapha Khayati (some later reference books have however claimed Debord wrote the text) who took his chance to attack the failures of the students and the institutions of the University with vigour. A predictable reaction took place and the responsible students were suspended, expelled and had legal action taken against them. Thus beginning a direct chain of events that led to the disturbances at the Sorbonne two years later. Despite the fact 10,000 copies of this book were printed it is a rare find. The blue wrappers of this copy have faded to green and brown and there are very minor stains on the back cover but overall this is a very good+ copy of this important document which has been reprinted many times since in other forms.

Detroit: Black & Red, 1973

22.5 x 13.5 cm. 24pp. Illustrated wrappers. First US printing of this seminal Situationist tract. The text was originally attributed to the Association Federative Generale des Etudiants de Strasbourg, but was for a long time believed to be composed by the Situationist Khayati however more recent biographic sources have claimed Guy Debord wrote the book and attributed it to the former as a joke. 'Ten Days…’ served as a primary means of dissemination, by which Situationist ideas were introduced to the European student movements of the period. The cover reproduces the covers of four previous imprints of the text including the original. Fine.
