DLP, Edition Rene Block, 1982 Two, standard 33rpm LPs in gatefold sleeve with a reproduced image of Maciunas in Gorrila mask. Live recording of the Fluxus-Soiree which took place the Auditorium of the Staatliche Kunstakademie Dusseldorf: the concert was given in the memory of Maciunas who had recently died. Very good cover (although there is a thin 6cm paper scuff top right) with unplayed record. Ref.: "Broken Music" pg 100. JOINT WITH 40 x 31cm, printed plastic bag with the same artwork as the front of the record and verso publisher details. This is signed by boldly by Joseph Beuys in black felt tip on the front. This bag is far more rare than the record and very few examples still exist. Slight handling creases else VG+.

Standard 33 rpm LP record in printed 30 x 30cm gatefold sleeve (with images of Paik, Beuys and Christiansen on the inside) which is the recording of the musical performance by the three artists at the Biennale des Friedens, Hamburg, November 29, 1985.

There is a printed inner sleeve with reproduced drawings by Henning Christiansen.

This is the deluxe edition of the record which was released in only 43 examples with three additional silkscreen lithographs by Christianson, two of which are signed in pen, pencil and one is numbered. All VG+.

There is a surface scuff to the inner sleeve which does not affect the images or text else VG+. Record is unplayed.

NYC: New School, 1964 42 x 19.6cm, 2pp announcement leaflet/poster. A performance by Paik, Moorman, Chieko Shiomi, Philip Corner, Dick Higgins, Peter Moore, and others which included Electronic TV & Color TV Experiment, 3 Robots, Pop Sonata, 2 Zen Boxes and 1 Zen Can. This was Paik's first one-person exhibition in the United States and the image on the front of the poster is of Paik's Robot K-456 (taken by Peter Moore). On the reverse is Paik's essay, "Electronic TV & Color TV Experiment." Charlotte Moorman performed ‘Pop Sonata’ for the second time, a piece which involved her removing her jewellery and clothes “before she lay down on the floor to finish the piece, her cello atop her like a lover” This leaflet was sent to Ray Johnson and the ink address on the reverse is in Moorman's own hand. Folded for mailing else VG+. Scarce.

NYC: New York Avant Garde Festival, 1971

73 x 37cm, full colour publicity poster for Moorman's annual festival featuring over 200 artists (all named on the poster) and offering performances and shows in all the artistic disciplines. The festival was based in the 69th Regiment Infantry Armory in Manhattan. The poster has various red hand applied rubber stamp impressions.

This is a mailed and folded copy of the poster. Very good condition although folded for mailing. This is one of the more difficult posters to find.

Paris: Centre Americains des artistes, May 17 - 25, 1965. Original poster/programme + three handbills and a 6pp programme along with 3 original b/w photographs from the event. Poster: 44 x 32cm, black on pink paper - folded with some paper loss (3 x 4 cm) bottom right and left. Programme notes participation of Alain Jouffroy, Robert Filliou, Emett (sic) Williams, Earle Brown and many others. Poster design includes a reproduced photographic image. Programme: hand out for the Earle Brown Lecture on "Composing Music by Chance" and the Filliou/Williams Extra-Sensory Misperception. 27 x 22cm, 6pp. Included in the stapled leaflet is a "souvenir sheet" which consists of a copy of the Filliou/Williams multiple "The Pink Spaghetti handshake" (each unique). The artists shook hands while holding painted spaghetti with a sheet of white paper between their grasps and the resulting "print" was allowed to dry and is included here stapled within the handout. This is a rare and important example of this famous work - which takes pride of place in both poet's oeuvre and is oft amusingly mentioned in William's autobiography as the poets' most important joint contribution to the history of art. Some folding and tears without any paper loss - a very good example of this first edition example of this rare work - later this work was produced as an editioned print. 3 handbills: uniformly 4to, all 1pp. Mimeotext on white paper. Programme details of the first two bills are respectively for the Ferlinghetti contribution ("Underwear") and a Lebel happening and le Groupe Panique International (a drama). Some small closed tears but no paper loss, previous creases where folded. The third hand out is the programme for a concert by Nam June Paik and Charlotte Moorman on 21 May 1965 where works by Paik, Chiari, Brown, Corner, Cage, La Monte Young, Dick Higgins and Ichiyanagi were performed. Interestingly the programme notes the loss of a Paik sculpture "Robot" as having "disappeared mysteriously on the way from Iceland to Paris in the international air labyrinth." Three original photographs - respectively 18 x 24cm, (image 12.5 x 18.5cm); 24 x 18cm (image 18.5 x 12.5 cm) and 9 x 13 cm (image 5.5 x 9.5 cm). All are b/w and press shots from "Chapman-Fotogram" Cignac, France (company stamps and hand written descriptions verso). The images are of a performance by Alexandro Jodorowsky (2 images) where he and his naked female co-performers had their bodies smeared with honey and hair and a 'sacrilegious' ceremony was performed where a 'priest' handed out hosts for consumption by the same naked participants. The third smaller photograph is a portrait of Label. All have very minor surface scratches but are otherwise very good. Images on request. Together - a rare group of material from this historic festival. The material is also with some significance to the works of several Fluxus affiliated artists (especially the bound in copy of the "Pink Spaghetti handshake") and despite the typical wear associated with such freely distributed material a very desirable group of material. Koln: De/Collage (Vostell), 1962 - 1967 Six separate numbers - a complete run (although Vostell did later add an exhibition catalogue and designate it as De/collage 7 despite it being somewhat different in content to these copies) of this assmblage/artist's journal that predated vTRE and other Fluxus related artist publications. The collection here consists of: Decoll/age 1 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): June 1962 26 x 22cm, 32pp double fold out pages plus card covers with folds. The first number of the series with original contributions by Arthur Köpcke, George Maciunas, Benjamin Patterson, Nam June Paik, La Monte Young, Volf Vostell and others. Slight wear to the right hand side of the folded wrappers else VG+. Decoll/age 2 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): November 1962 30 x 21cm, 42pp plus paper wrappers. Internal pages are mimeographed and stapled. Edited by Dick Higgins - the whole consisting of his "The Broadway Opera" translated into German. The front cover is a b/w photograph of the poet/artist outside a German cinema. With original publisher's wrap-around band - which is torn but complete and with original scotch tape closure still there but the glue has lost its adhesion. Very rare number from the series especially with the band. Inserted: subscription leaflet for Decoll/age 1 and 2. Decoll/age 3 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): December 1962 27 x 21.8cm, unpaginated (108pp plus 12pp) and wrappers. Internal pages include a transparent sheet and several folders, stapled, blank cover, printed jacket. Contributions by C. Caspari, Christo, Jed Curtis, Henry Flint, Dick Higgins, Gyogy Ligetti, Nam June Paik, Jan Voss, Vostell, F. Mon, Pera, F. Crowbridge, JP Wilhelm. The internal sheets include various types of printing: offset, mimeograph, screen printing. Illustrated throughout. VG+ although some wear/minor emerging tears along spine of the wrappers. Decoll/age 4 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): January 1964 27 x 21.8cm, unpaginated (132pp) and wrappers. A "Special Happenings" number with contributions by Georges Brecht, Stanley Brouwn (including his USE THIS BROUWN stamped paper bag stuck to the third blank page - a rare edition), Allan Kaprow, Higgins, Paik, Jean Jacques Lebel, Tomas Schmit, Claes Oldenburg, Al Hansen and others. Most pages are double folded. Very scarce. Decoll/age 5 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): February 1966 Happenings / Stücke / Partituren 28 x 23 x 4cm (approx) outer card portfolio. The most important of the series with many object multiples and print editions included in the publication. This consists of 22 multiple-elements including the first ever object multiple by Joseph Beuys: "Zwei Fraulen mit lenchtendem Brot" consisting of a block of painted chocolate fixed on a strip of printed paper and tipped on scroll. Other works are by René Block, Claus Bremer, Henning Christiansen, Hans Joachim Dietrich, Ludwig Gosewitz, Dick Higgins, Bernhard Höke, Allan Kaprow, Franz Mon, Benjamin Patterson, Eckart Rahn, Gerhard Rühm, Vagelis Tsakiridis, Ben Vautier, Wolf Vostell, ZAJ Group (which is signed). The Vostell work is a sealed sheet of printed paper with yellow dust/sand inside the sealed plastic and is complete and undamaged here. VG+ overall although the portfolio card folder is a little damaged as the internal uneven sheets have put pressure on the outer card. This is a scarce item to find in good condition and the Beuys contribution is particularly prized. Decoll/age 6 Koln: Decoll/age (Vostell): July 1967 29 x 21.7cm, unpaginated (174pp), plus card wrappers (reproducing the front page of Le Figaro from September 6, 1954). Texts in German and English. Contributions by Higgins, Maciunas, Vostell, Gustav Metzger, Milan Knizak, Vautier, Hansen, Kaprow, Paik, Franz Mon, Daniel Spoerri, Charlotte Moorman, Jean-Jacques Lebel, and Alison Knowles. Also laid into the pages is the original multiple of Diter Rot "das Blaue Geheul" a hand written card. There are very few complete runs of this journal available online and this is the cheapest we know of.

21 x 30cm, 16pp stapled offset b/w programme for the 1980 show. The programme notes a huge number of participants exhibiting art at the New York's Passenger Ship Terminal including Eric Andersen, Ay-o, John Cage, Christo, Philip Corner, Yoko Ono, Ben Patterson, Knud Petersen, Otto Piene, Klaus Groh, Geoffrey Hendricks, Ray Johnson, Milan Knizak, Alison Knowles, Richard Kostelanetz, Takehisa Kosugi, Carolee Schneemann, Mieko Shiomi, Ben Vautier and details of a "Group Hologram Show" and a "Group Audio Show" which included David Tudor, John Giorno, Takehisa Kosugi, Yoshi Wada and others.

Also there was "Six Sure Cycles of Poetry Performances" which included Jackson Mac Low and Opal L. Nations, and "Two Continuous 12 =-Hour Video Tape Shows" which included works by Jeff Byrd, Nancy Holt, Nam June Paik with Charlotte Moorman (Guadalcanal Requiem), Shigeko Kubota, and Les Levine. These are just a percentage of the huge number of artists who were involved in the Festival and one has to be impressed by Moorman's organisation of such an event. VG+.

Very good+. One of the scarcer posters from the event to find for some unknown reason.

Paris: Deuxieme Festival De La Libre Expression, 1965

27 x 21cm, 1pp mimeographed sheet, announcing the performance by Charlotte Moorman and Nam June Paik at Jean-Jacques Lebel's second Festival of Free Expression on May 25, 1965.

Moorman and Paik had originally intended to perform 'Robot Opera' on the street in front of the Centre Américain des Artistes, but, as the flyer states, "Robot has disappeared mysteriously on the way from Iceland to Paris in the international air labyrinth". Instead they performed their repertoire of pieces by Earle Brown, John Cage, Giuseppe Chiari, Toshi Ichiyanagi, Dick Higgins, La Monte Young, and their finale, Paik's "Variations on a Theme by Saint-Saëns", notable for Moorman's first appearance in a transparent costume (a clear plastic drop cloth left by Ben Vautier as a prop for the following evening). Tiny 4mm. closed tear to upper edge, else VG. Scarce documentation.

The inner card has become separated from the main card but all is present. 21 x 10cm, 6pp, announcement leaflet with mounted small photograph of a work by Emmett Williams and a list of editions to be found in "a remake portfolio". 21 x 10cm, 2pp, typographic design announcement card listing the editions in the portfolio. 30 x 21cm, 4pp announcement brochure with an image of the beached whale and information on the exhibition inspired by that event. One slight corner fold and a small brown stain on the front. INSERTED INTO THE BROCHURE: 18.5 x 27cm, unfolded and unused dental product box which is an unused element from Ay-o's multiple. Apart from those condition issues noted all are VG+. PRICE IS FOR ALL ELEMENTS AS A GROUP.
