13 x 8.8cm, 44pp plus paper wrappers. Nguyen Huu Tho was the President of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the South Vietnam National Front for Liberation. This small propaganda booklet was published to distribute the speech given by the leader to the NFL on its 5th anniversary of its founding. There is one grainy b/w image of Nguyen making the speech as frontispiece. The speech is typical of the Viet Cong’s Marxist and anti-imperialist view - and took place in the year the first American forces (Marines) landed in Vietnam. This book was smuggled into the USA and distributed amongst student and other left political groups. Some brown marks due to past damp and a small rust stain (staple remnant from another book) on the very outer right margin of a few pages, some rusting to staple, else VG.
