(1995) A group of 10 different b/w postcards (except Kienholz which is full colour - all 15 x 10.5cm, 2pp - nine of which are portraits by Ad Petersen of Richard Hamilton, Jean Tinguely (2), Antonio Saura, Martial Raysse, Niki De Saint Phalle, Edward Kienholz, Ben Vautier and two images of works by Tinguely (La Vittoria) and James Turrell (Airplane). All fine.

N.p.: n.p., n.d. 30 x 21cm, black and white silver gelatine photograph from original negative showing Niki de Saint-Phalle in the New York Iolas Gallery with one of her life size plaster sculptures. This image was originally taken by Fred McDarrah and his estate retains copyright on the image so this is sold for personal use and not for reproduction. This is in very good condition and a crisp modern print (post 1990s we suspect) from original negative. If this was a vintage print we would charge much more.

Amsterdam: CultClub Editions, 2020 32 x 23 x 5cm red cardboard clamshell box content of c. 60 unnumbered and unbound sheets including one object multiple (a plastic bottle with printed label). Silver ribbon. A supposed "exhibition in a box" with reproduced and original contributions by Tinkerbell, Marina Abramovic, Ay-o, Matthew Barney, Tracey Emin, Valie Export, AL Hansen, ALison Knowles, Shigeko Kubota, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Pieter Mol, Charlotte Moorman and NAm June Paik, Otto Muehl, Orlan, Willem De Ridder, Niki de Saint Phalle, Carolee Schneemann, AndresSerrano, Annie Sprinkle, Ulay, Ben Vautier and others. The plastic bottle (meant to contain sanitiser gel) is by Marco Tiberio. One of 25 "silver" examples which were announced as being numbered but we cannot find any numbering in the box. Near fine.

30 x 21cm, 98pp. Pictorial card covers. Retrospective exhibition catalogue which is almost wholly pictorial with photographs and works and instruction drawings reproduced throughout. The young Niki stares at the viewer in a documentation of her works from the splatter / shooting / alter works of the early 60s then with a variety of female forms eventually evolving into the huge Nanas of her public works begun in the 1970s.

Fine condition and a reminder that the avant garde can begin radical and hard core and end up just being pleasant.

Paris: Galerie Rive Droite, 1962

32 x 24.5cm, 8pp plus card covers. An early exhibition catalogue with 10 works by the nouvelle realiste being noted along with essay by John Ashbery and three works (one full page) of altar sculptures being reproduced in b/w and a full page portrait of a young rather gorgeous artist in front of a work is also present. Saint-Phalle's first exhibition was in 1956. There is a vertical old flattened crease running throughout the catalogue and the red wrappers are faded due to light on both sides but a scarce item.

Copenhagen: Galerie Kopcke, 1961 15 x 11cm, 4pp (single sheet folded twice and printed only on one side). The announcement leaflet for de Phalle's first Danish exhibition at Adi Koepcke's gallery. The ornate design of the leaflet was by Koepcke and one can see aspects of the paste up due to less than perfect printing techniques. Formerly folded as issued but overall VG+. Rare.
