This exhibition is usually regarded as the first conceptual art/minimalist show in Japan.

Effectively a manifesto leaflet written by the “co-ordinator” of the space Koenig to explain the name and the purpose of the A 37 90 89 space (the title was the telephone number) and announcing future shows by Koepke, Vautier and possibly On Kawara. This is similar to another leaflet we have listed here but has an additional red rubber stamping of the gallery title on the top of the publication. VG+.

An agenda for an internal meeting that mentions the various programmes being prepared for the gallery - including On Kawara, David Lamela, Joseph Kosuth, Oswald Weiner and Hans Peter Emperger with descriptions of work/proposals. Also mention of the "self-criticism" and external criticism of the co-ordinator Kasper Konig and a full financial balance sheet which shows that the venture had a turnover of almost half a million marks! VG+.

A group show of conceptual artists which included Wincenzo Agnetti, William Anastasi, Marcel Broodthaers, On Kawara, Joseph Kosuth, Les Levine, Yokuta Metsuzawa and Lawrence Weiner. Small portraits of each artist are found on the front of the card (except On Kawara). Details of the show can be found on the transparent sheet which also mentions an artistic intervention on the billboards of the city - folded for mailing. All VG+.

34.5 x 28cm, unpaginated. Collective artist's book with the intent of creating an "art political circus" in collaboration with the Belgium art magazine Pour. Harald Szeemann curated the show and the artist's contributions as pageworks were assembled into a collaborative book - of which this is an example. Many important conceptual artists of the period took part including Andre, Artswager, Ben, Beuys (front cover), Boltanski, Buren (an extensive plan of the installation in colours), Byars, Christo, Filliou, Huebler, On Kawara, Kienholtz, Ono, Panamarenko, Spoerri, Tuttle and Weiner amongst others. Slight wear to the dark wrappers and one slight unopened slit along the fold at the bottom of the spine but over all very good. Very scarce.

Very good although some scratches to black card boards.
