26 x 18 x 16.5cm, wooden nailed box intended to be wall mounted - hand made by Pat McCarthy to hold collections of his zine publication - of which here are 57 different publications from some of the artist's very earliest to later series. The earliest zines are approx 14 x 10.7cm and have various paginations (typical is 8pp to 16pp) apart from one (Born to Kill en Doctor Jesus, 2011) which is 11 x 7cm, 8pp. The later copies are mostly 22 x 14cm and pagination is from 8pp to 48pp. Most are stapled and all are produced on a xerox machine and crudely produced.

There are a number of series here - Pigeon Club, which follows McCarthy's interest in breeding and racing pigeons in the lofts of New York, Skirts - which are pornographic in content with explicit photographs of mostly female volunteers along with the artists own erotic writings, and Born to Kill. All show b/w images and facsimile texts of the artist'\s handwriting and some collage elements. Some magazines have original colour photographs tipped onto them (mostly the Skirts zines).

Early copies of these zines from 2010 and 2011 are now very hard to find even though some of the zines were reprinted by McCarthy as they sold out.

All are in VG+ condition. The box and magazines were purchased originally from the artist at a European art fair.

21.5 x 36cm, brown glaze on white ceramic. A "zine" in the form of a pottery sheet displaying the artist's famous "cheese-bike" which he took to art events and sold cheese sandwiches for $1 each. A unique work - signed and dated on the back. VG+.

11.2 x 7cm, 8pp including cover. A xerox zine issued by the artist with a text in English (with spelling mistakes) and Spanish. Cover is a collage by McCarthy. A very early zine from the artist. Slight handling creases on back cover else VG.

14.2 x 11cm, 12pp including cover. A xerox zine issued by the artist with 12 b/w photographs of a hunter in the woods - the dog (if it is there) is very hard to find. A very early zine from the artist. Slight handling creases else VG.

14.2 x 11cm, 8pp including cover. A xerox zine issued by the artist with 7 b/w photographs each with a "hidden" stuffed dog (presumably "Charmy") somewhere in the scene. The owner of the zine is encouraged to find all the toys and circle each photo and send in for a "prize". A very early zine from the artist. VG+.

14.2 x 11cm, 52pp including cover. A xerox zine issued by the artist with a story by himself and 4 b/w pornographic cartoon illustrations. Slight mark on back cover else VG+. Scarce early zine.

21 x 15cm, 36pp including cover. A xerox zine issued by the artist with tips and advice on pigeon handling - two different pages of the zine have original colour photographs of two of McCarthy's pigeons in the loft. This is from the second run of 72 home-made copies made in the same year as the original print run. VG+.

21 x 15cm, 40pp including cover plus a 30 x 21cm, 1pp small folded poster tipped in with scotch tape. A xerox zine issued by the artist with 28 b/w mostly pornographic images of a single female model in bondage and bdsm poses and pornographic texts by McCarthy. The back cover has an original colour photograph of the model in a cage by McCarthy. Some photographs were taken by Tom Sachs and Sam Ratanarat. Limitation not known but this is from the third printing of 50 copies made in the same year as the first printing. VG+.
