Southampton: Clause 4, 1985

21 x 15cm, 32pp plus card covers. Political pamphlet exposing the Trotskite theory behind the Militant Tendency's entryism into the Labour Party. Clause 4 was often regarded as the Labour Party's "masons" as membership was by invite only; the organisation promoted a bastardised form of euro-communism (Antonio Gramsci being a key theorist for the group) within Labour and was at the forefront of the campaign to expel Militant. Later many of the activists from Clause 4 became part of Tony Blair's government as MPs or backroom staff. Very slight grubbiness on back wrappers and a small hald cm split at bottom of spine else VG. Now scarce.
