FAX-O-GASME. 1998. UNIQUE PAINTING ON FAX MADE FOR FILLOU’S ART BIRTHDAY..

152 x 21cm, original fax which has been conjoined with glue by Corner in two places. The fax having been sent to L'Espace Cultural F.M. in Périgueux on the "birthday of art " - 17th January (as claimed by Robert Filliou) - thereafter Corner then painted over the sheets using a variety of ink colours to create a long abstract painting on paper. The work is titled "FAX-O-GASME" and is signed, dated and has the title and background information also handwritten in blue ink on the upper part of the fax. The paper is mildly browned after 20 plus years but else this work is in VG+ condition. A unique work by the Fluxus artist.

NYC: Fluxus Editorial Council for Fluxus, 1965 58 x 43.5cm, 4pp broadside. Black on light yellow paper. The sixth of the eleven issues of the official Fluxus newspaper designed by George Maciunas. This is the first of the newspaper to utilise a large number of photographs of Fluxus events including La Monte Young, Joe Jones, Chieko Shiomi, George Brecht, Robert Watts, Takehisa Kosugi, Chieko Shiomi, Phillip Corner, Hi Red Center, Alison Knowles and Ben Vautier. Internally there is a double page advert for the Perpetual Fluxfest with performances by Yoko Ono, Ay-o, Anthony cox, Walter de Maria, Joe Jones, Glue Mamma, Ben Patterson, Robert Watts and Hi Red Center. A large photograph of the Flux Orchestra is on the back page taken at the concert in Carnegie Hall in September 1965. Folded for mailing as usual else VG++. Very scarce. contributions by George Brecht, George Maciunas, Mieko Shiomi, A-yo, Joe Jones, Arthur Kopke, Robert Watts. There is a large one page advert for a Fluxfest at the Cinematheque also with Willem Ridder, James Riddle, Frederick Lieberman, Shigeko Kunota ("See Vagina Painting!"), Yoko Ono, Giuseppe Chairi and others. Folded for mailing as issued and one small paper scuff on the bottom right on all pages else VG+. Very scarce.

Genova: Il Canneto Editore, 2012 21 x 15cm, 376pp plus card covers. Extensive monograph on the various Italian interventions by Fluxus and Fluxus artists with many b/w images of exhibitions and performances by Ay-o, Dick Higgins, , Paik, Moorman, Ben, Ben Patterson, Philip Cornber and others. The main figure in most of these events was the wonderful presence of Caterina Gualco. Long essay in Italian and English. Some creasing to the spine and a 2cm split at the bottom left of the front cover else VG. A useful reference.
