The true first edition of this famous and important artist's book where on 17 October 1961, Daniel Spoerri noted with a small drawing all of the items found on a table after a meal in his hotel room on the rue Mouffetard in Paris. Each item was then described and annotated with background information as to how it turned up on the table as best Spoerri knew.

Later editions of this book further expanded the information known about the items (with the help of Robert Filliou, Roland Topor and Emmett Williams and even added drawings, photographs and editioned material.

Copies of the first edition of this book are already hard to find but with the bandeau in such near fine condition - this is rare. Fine in like yellow wrapper.

Monograph on the work of the French artist issued on the occasion of a solo exhibition in the Ministere des affaires culturelles center national d'art contemporain, Paris. Architectural plans, maps and images of buildings in b/w and colour (works that the artist denoted as "Organisations d'espace")  along with texts in French by the artist and by Pierre Restany and Blaise Gautier. VG.

26.5 x 21cm, 1pp mimeograph leaflet protesting the forced closure by the Venice mayoralty of Bertini's exhibition Le Pays Reel at Galerie Gritti after a single day of opening. The leaflet was published on the eve of the opening of 31st Venice Biennale and was signed by a large number of artist including Alain Jouffroy, Pierre Restany, Karel Appel, Enrico Baj, Arturo Schwarz, Ferro, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Paul Jenkins, Corneille and others. This has had two ring binder holes punched on the left where there is no text to allow storage else is VG+.

21.5 x 24.5cm, 332pp plus boards. The major catalogue raisonné of the works and editions of Yves Klein with colour illustrations throughout and texts in English and French by Pierre Restany and Ledeur. VG although the spine is reglued.

14 x 21cm, 4pp. Typographic design but internally an essay by Pierre Restany on the rear a biography of the artist. Fine and scarce.

25 x 17cm, 4pp plus black on yellow card covers. Exhibition catalogue for the foremost German proponent of Art Informel and active member of 'Gruppe 53'.

There is a substantive 2pp essay by Pierre Restany here as well as one work reproduced in b/w and two images of the painter; one being of his hands and feet on a canvas a la Jackson Pollock creating one of his larger works. Fine.
