Texts by Heubach (publisher of Interfunktionen) and Michael Kirby in English and German. VG+.

Koln: Kolnischer Kunstverein, 1970 30 x 21cm, 1pp mimeographed leaflet for the film programme of the famous Happening & Fluxus events. The leaflet lists films by Otto Muhl, Wolf Vostell, a number of Flux Films including by Andersen, Cale, Brecht, Fine, Jones, Landow, Moore, Ono, Sharits, Shiomi and Watts. Lil Picard's "Destruction - Construction", Schneemann's Dance and additional films by Paul Sharits, George Brecht, Robert Filliou & Emmet (sic) Williams and Schneemann/Giorgio: "Inquest of Meet (sic) Joy". Red Grooms and Dick Higgins also supplied films and the 7th Programme was Paik's Zen for film. Others mentioned include James Lee Byars (here as "Lee Byers") La Monte Young, Terry Riley and Allan Kaprow. Browned and with some sunning and minor edge damage and possible minor spotting from nascent foxing and also formerly folded for storage - but this is intact and a very scarce publication.

NYC: Guggenheim, 1965 28 x 12cm, 8pp, single folded sheet (printed only one side) . Exhibition catalogue displaying work from artists who were mainstays of the famous Reuben Gallery which was one of the most important venues that held Happenings: Allan Kaprow’s §8 Happenings in Parts took place there in October 1959 as did an exhibition by the Fluxus artist George Brecht and thereafter a stream of significant exhibitions or performances took place for the next three years. The sheet has a useful chronology of those shows, biographies of George Brecht, Jim Dine, Rosalyn Drexler, Martha Edelheit, Red Grooms, Allan Kaprow, Renee Miller, Claed Oldebburg, Lucas Samaras, George Segal and Robert Whitman. There is a short essay by Lawrence Alloway and four drawings by Oldenburg, Dine, Whitman and Grooms are reproduced. Minor edge wear at corners else VG. A very useful document of early pop art and the happenings movement.

NYC: Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, 1988 30 x 21cm, 1pp accouncement card which has attached to it a plastic magnifying glass on a string - the names of the participating artists having been printed very small on the page. A group show with really only Keith Haring's and Red Grooms' names being immediately significant. Fine condition and an enjoyable conceit amongst such invite cards.

A survey of the Happenings Movement with scripts reproduced by Allan Kaprow, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Whitman, Red Grooms and Jim Dine as well as b/w images of events. One diagonal crease across the front card cover but else Vga and a very useful refernece and source of original artist's scripts. Scarce.

New York: Harry N. Adams, 1966 31.5 x 31cm, 342pp. Publisher's brown burlap lettered in pale orange. First Edition of this major authoritative publication on the performance arts of the 60s. Illustrated throughout with fantastic images of happenings, and installations - many of and by Allan Kaprow. as well as Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg, Red Grooms, Gutai, Jean-Jacques Lebel, Wolf Vostell, George Brecht, Kenneth Dewey, and Milan Knizak amongst others. There is damage to the top and bottom of the burlap boards along the front spine (slight unravelling) else it is in VG condition. An important reference as well as artist's book.
