Rottweil: Stadtfest Rottweil, 1974

22 x 7.5 x 8cm, unpaginated - approx 500pp. The cover has a raised die-cut felt cover forming the title. The documentation and collective artist's book which reproduces the 170 different flags designed by various artists for this massive conceptual show - with each being allocated a page for a reproduction of the design and their instructions as well as a biography/contact details. Works by Adler, Bury, Hodgkin, Kahlen, Oppenheim, P-orridge, Riley, Smith (Richard), amongst others. Contains full plans of the installations and the programme of associated events including an early Coum/P-orridge/Cossi Fanny Tutti performance where they performed 'Schlimm' and 'All that Glitters is not Kunst' - two important actions which lasted over 3 hours each and were performed in the town square in front of several hundred bemused residents. (See Ford 1999, 4.22 - 4.26 for a detailed description). This is an interesting solid bookwork designed to open like a carpet swatch with a single screw binding at top left. Fine condition.
