Published in conjunction with a comprehensive 1990 touring European Museum retrospective, this informative catalogue contains a full catalogue raisonne of ninety-one sculptural objects created by the idiosyncratic American artist Robert Gober since 1980, as well as copious photographic documentation of installation works.
NYC: Esopus, 2012
51.44 x 51.12cm (open size) - an original 5 colour lithograph printed in colors displaying the sign of a street close to the artist's early life (one of his first paintings was of a house on the street). This rather unusual format of print is found on the inside of a cardboard shipping box and was sent to subscribers of the magazine as a gift. Also included is a colophon sheet explaining the work. This is unsigned and the limitation is not known. The image is in VG+ condition although the outer box has been sent in the US postal service and has some writing, minor damage, an address label and Scotch tape but all of that was unavoidable. A very scarce print multiple.
